“Come Back to the Old Country” is the theme of the 11th Annual Festa Italia, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, from 4:30 to 9pm, and Sunday, Sept. 29, from noon to 6pm at St. Michael the Archangel Hall.
Join us to enjoy the ambience of an Italian Village with a Ristorante that will feature Italian entrees, soups, salads and Italian Love Cake on Saturday. A spaghetti dinner follows on Sunday.
The festival also includes an Ice Cream Parlor, Bake Shop, Theme Baskets, Rosary Makers gifts, youth activities, monetary raffles and live Italian music by Mirella the Musician, accordionist Joe Savannah, and vocalist Dennis Geibel.
Tickets for the annual raffle, which is the main fundraiser, were mailed to St. Michael parishioners in May. Each book contains 12 tickets with a suggested donation of $1 per ticket; you can keep two tickets as a thank you bonus when the proceeds from 10 tickets are donated.
An Early Bird Drawing for a $100 prize was held for those who turned in their tickets by July 21. The winner is Betty Nanni. The final raffle drawing will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 6pm at the festival.
